In February, IBM announced its “affordable family of entry level and midrange Power Systems based on new POWER7+ processers”. The industry-leader’s February 5th press release states that these Power Systems will make big data and cloud computing a reality for businesses of all sizes. Understanding that big data and cloud computing has typically been more affordable for larger organizations, IBM has introduced the Power7+ to enable SMBs to leverage the increased speed and functionality of this advanced technology as well.
