Industry analyst firm, Frost & Sullivan, recently recognized network security leader, Fortinet, with the 2014 Global Cyber Threat Analysis and Reporting Enabling Technology Leadership Award and also a Market Leadership Award for its Managed Security Service Provider Market.
With the rash of data breaches that have occurred in 2014 at companies such as Target, Home Depot, Kmart, Dairy Queen, JP Morgan, Verizon, among many more, security service providers need to step up their game and Fortinet has done so.
Frank Dickson, industry principal at Frost & Sullivan stated “Fortinet has done a tremendous job in elevating its threat research capabilities, as well as leveraging their threat intelligence into solutions for their enterprise customers and MSSP (Managed Security Service Providers) partners.”
In October, Fortinet announced two next generation firewall platforms to protect enterprises from these increasingly common security breaches. They released the FortiGate-300D and the FortiGate-500D, which both offer features to increase protection against cyber-attacks. In addition to the protection these firewalls offer, they are also easy to manage, offer high-performance throughput and are cost effective solutions.
Fortinet’s continued innovation is a prime reason for its continued success and a reason that the company reported “better-than-expected” financials for third quarter 2014.
